7 Weeks

Finley has a baby cousin!!! That is the biggest news of the past week by far! Bennett Ryan Roe was born Monday, February 28th and we are soooooo excited that she is here! She is so adorable with two very prominent dimples in her cheeks and one in her chin! She also has the most hair on her head that I have EVER seen on a newborn. She is just such a doll. Holding Finley and then holding her is so strange! She feels so light and Fin feels so huge! I am so excited for these two to get to grow up with each other only being 6 1/2 weeks apart. Here are a few pictures from the first few days with Bennett.

Mom and I made Bennett some burp cloths too! I LOVE them!

Finley has started spitting up a lot lately and I can't figure out why. She spits up formula as well as breast milk and she doesn't act like it bothers her. It definitely bothers me though because if we are in public then she has spit up all over her clothes, and we have to change her sheets so often. There are also times that we don't even know that she has done it and she will sleep with her cheek in it. Now she has an awful rash on both of her cheeks. :( You can see it in the close up picture at the top. She seems to be doing well with her harness. It doesn't seem to bother her at all, but it is still hard for us to change her diapers. She had a blow out a few days ago and poop got on her harness. That is really gross because we can't take it off and put it in the washer. We can only wipe it with a wet rag. One week from today I go back to work. I am not looking forward to being away from her for 10 hours. I haven't been apart from her for more than a couple of hours here and there. I have no idea how it will all work out with schedules and pumping and all that jazz, but I surely hope that the transition is easy for both of us. I have no doubt that Finley will be fine and wont have any trouble adjusting because my mom will be keeping her. Plus, she'll have Elliott and Beckett there to sing her to sleep when she gets upset. Here are some pictures from the past week.
