I can't believe I have slacked so much on blogging. I'm really disappointed in myself because my goal was to have a blog for every week of Finley's first year. :( Oh well. I will try to do better from now on. Since the last post Finley has grown so much it seems! She smiles ALL THE TIME and she laughs when you tickle her or when you make certain faces. She is so easily entertained and I just love it. Last week she grabbed her own pacifier and put it back in her mouth. Granted, it was her Wubbanub so it was easier to grasp onto, but still. She slept through the night a few nights in a row, and I thought I would be really thrilled the day that happened, but instead, I was worried about the whole breastfeeding thing. If you go without pumping or feeding then your body thinks you don't need to be producing milk anymore. So I was concerned that if I slept all the way through the night that my body would start producing less milk. Therefore, when I hear her stirring at all at night I get her up to feed her. I'm sure her pediatrician would tell me not to do that, and instead just go pump, but it's so much easier to just grab her and feed her. I may work on that over the next couple of weeks though. At her recheck appointment 2 weeks ago we did not get a new harness and I was really disappointed. HOWEVER, yesterday we did! Annnnnnnnnd, she only has to wear the harness during naps and at night time! I am so pumped! The doctor said that her hips look great on the ultrasound and we are beginning the weaning process! We will do nights and naps for 6 weeks, but we will go back for a recheck in 4 weeks. Going back to work has gotten easier and it feels more normal now. I do LOVE my days off though. Spending time with her is my favorite thing to do. At her 2 month check up she weighed 10 lbs 14 oz and was 23 and 1/4 inches long. Her head is in the 50th percentile, her weight is the 50th percentile and her length is the 75th. She has cradle cap and we are treating that with Selsun Blue on her scalp for 3 minutes during her baths. I haven't noticed an improvement but my mom says that she has. She still has really goopy eyes and we are now on our third medication for them. This little teensy weensy bottle of eye drops costs $50! And I mean it is TINY! We are on day 4 of it and it seems to be helping A LOT! I took FIn over to Anna's house last week and we took some photos of her. I use the term "we" very loosely because really, Anna did 99% of the photographing. I am so pleased with how they look! I am so happy to have such a great best friend that also happens to be married to my brother and as a bonus is my business partner! I am so excited to continue to photograph our kids for many many years to come! Here are some of the photos and below that are the closeup weekly pictures. I hope to blog next week and to get back on the wagon!
